LDF Archives Internship:
LDF is seeking a current or recent graduate student in Library and Information Studies for a Summer 2025 Archives Internship. Working closely with LDF archivists, the Archives Intern will primarily assist with surveying, arranging, and describing physical and digital records related to the ongoing fight for racial justice. <li>Notarize client or attorney documents, as necessary.</li>
<li>Maintain case expenses, invoices, billing, and time worked on client and general files.</li>
<li>Assist attorneys in preparing for trial.</li>
<li>Prepare trial and deposition binders to assist attorneys.</li>
<li>Handling of special projects for attorneys and staff.</li>
<li>Interact daily with assigned clientele and Potential New Clients (PNC) to understand their needs and ensure the timely management of their cases.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must have a minimum of 5 experience as a litigation paralegal in the areas of personal injury and labor law, Bachelor or Associate degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred</li>
<li>Experience working on construction injury cases and bilingual in Spanish is a plus.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform well in a high level, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver timely results</li>
<li>Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor toward clients and staff</li>
<li>Must be honest, committed, detail oriented, team-player, positive, energetic, kind, well-spoken, and have excellent customer service skills</li>

NYLAG goes to where the need is, providing services in more than 150 community sites (e.g. courts, hospitals, libraries) and on our Mobile Legal Help Center. NYLAG’s staff of 350 impacted the lives of nearly 113,000 people last year. The Special Litigation Unit collaborates with NYLAG attorneys across practice areas to develop and litigate complex impact litigations that advance social, racial, and economic justice, addressing the full range of legal areas in which NYLAG serves clients.
