Compensation: Base salary up to $90,000, paid overtime, bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and 401(k).
Position Overview Legal Administrative Assistant:
A well-established national law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to its litigation team. This position is ideal for someone who excels in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys coordinating the day-to-day administrative needs of active litigation matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping attorneys organized, preparing legal documents, and ensuring matters move efficiently through every stage of the litigation process/
Key Responsibilities for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Provide daily administrative support to litigation attorneys and assist with a variety of ongoing legal matters
- Draft, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and other legal materials for filing and distribution
- Maintain attorney calendars by coordinating court appearances, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and internal conferences
- Monitor litigation deadlines and assist in tracking important dates to ensure compliance with court schedules
- Open, organize, and maintain electronic and hard-copy case files while keeping records accurate and current
- Prepare document productions, assemble exhibits and binders, and coordinate filings with courts and outside parties
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with travel arrangements, expense reports, time entry, and other administrative projects as needed
Qualifications for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- At least 5 years of experience in a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or comparable support role within a law firm.
- Previous experience supporting litigation attorneys and managing multiple active matters simultaneously
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prepare and edit legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize changing deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a client-service mindset
- Professional, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
