This position serves as an integral member of the Provider Contracting Team and reports to the Vice President, Network Management, Liberty Valley.&nbsp; This role is a member of the Liberty Valley Network Management leadership team and is accountable for contracting and network management activities for multiple local geographies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate Attorney

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Building Engineering Inspector to perform a wide range of construction inspections and plan reviews to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning ordinances, and County regulations. This role plays a critical part in protecting public safety and maintaining construction quality across residential and small commercial developments

Key Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Conduct field inspections of site grading, building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems for single-family dwellings and minor commercial or industrial buildings.</li>
<li>Review construction plans and specifications for building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components to ensure code and ordinance compliance prior to inspections.</li>
<li>Assist with inspections of complex and multi-story structures under the guidance of senior inspectors.</li>
<li>Require and initiate corrections to construction work related to structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and related systems to meet applicable codes.</li>
<li>Initiate soil tests when field conditions indicate potential soil instability.</li>
<li>Inspect rehabilitation and renovation projects to ensure compliance with current building codes and zoning requirements.</li>
<li>Perform business license inspections to verify adherence to County building laws and ordinances.</li>
<li>Process permit applications and respond to inquiries at public service counters.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate records, and document code compliance activities.</li>
<li>File complaints against willful code violators and testify in court when required.</li>
<li>Travel routinely to inspection sites throughout the County using a motor vehicle.</li>

Required Qualifications

<li>Valid certification as a Combination Inspector or Commercial Combination Inspector, or equivalent, from a recognized code certification organization such as ICC, ICBO, IAPMO, or similar.</li>

<li>Knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances, and construction inspection practices.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.</li>
