The Role:

Job Description
LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors, Inc. is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team. We are a 180+ person civil engineering and surveying consulting firm with over 10 locations primarily located in western Pennsylvania. LSSE’s projects support public infrastructure and community development. Our clients include local boroughs and townships, water and sewer authorities, industrial and residential land developers, and utility companies.
This position will primarily assist the Marketing Specialist with the proposal process, developing compelling, compliant, and high-quality proposals in response to RFPs and RFQs from government agencies, private sector clients, and other entities. This role requires strong writing, organizational, proofreading, editing and communication skills. The person in this position will also assist with managing the client contact lists and internal database. 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Marketing Specialist throughout the proposal process from start to finish.</li>
<li>Perform in-depth research daily for potential RFPs/RFQs.</li>
<li>Analyze RFP/RFQ documents and determine proposal requirements and strategy.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with engineers and project managers to gather technical content.</li>
<li>Write, edit and format proposals, qualifications packages and marketing collateral.</li>
<li>Rewrite and revise proposal sections based on feedback from the review team.</li>
<li>Help maintain and update boilerplate text, resumes, project descriptions and proposal templates.</li>
<li>Meticulously review and edit proposals to ensure all requirements of the RFP/RFQ are met.</li>
<li>Coordinate proposal production, including layout, graphics and final packaging.</li>
<li>Support interview preparation and post-submission follow-ups as needed.</li>
<li>Manage multiple proposals with overlapping and strict deadlines, prioritizing responsibilities to ensure all submissions are delivered on time.</li>
<li>Help track and archive proposal submissions and maintain a library of past proposals.</li>
<li>Assist with other marketing functions such as advertisements, event coordination, etc.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign</li>
<li>Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills</li>
<li>Ability to understand and convey technical information clearly and concisely</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li>
<li>Be comfortable with managing multiple deadlines at once and working under pressure</li>
<li>Familiarity with civil engineering and/or consulting work is preferred</li>
</ul>

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist for a first shift position from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This role requires expertise in machining operations and working from blueprints, using both manual and CNC mills and lathes.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Operate the Daewoo CNC Milling Machine equipped with Fanuc controls.</li>
<li>Machine parts from carbon and alloy steel according to blueprints.</li>
<li>Set up parts and perform machining operations such as drilling and milling, both vertically and horizontally.</li>
<li>Use basic hand tools and most tooling to machine welds off components.</li>
<li>Repair parts including manholes, castings, and holes.</li>
</ul>
Essential Skills
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of recent experience with Manual Mill, CNC Mill, and Lathe.</li>
<li>At least 1 year of recent experience in machining from blueprints.</li>
<li>1 year or more experience using hand and power tools.</li>
</ul>
Additional Skills &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience with lathe machines and micrometres.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Fanuc controls.</li>
<li>Ability to set up machining operations.</li>
<li>Open to CNC machinists willing to train and learn manual machining.</li>
</ul>
