Responsibilities

<li>Provides direct supervision of a single group home serving adults with developmental disabilities and other complex needs. Duties include household management and the supervision of direct support professionals within a 24/7 residential setting.</li>

<li>Develops, oversees, and posts weekly staff schedules to maintain approved staffing ratios. </li>
<li>Completes Site Inspections routinely </li>
<li>Attends physician appointments and completes documentation regarding health/wellness per licensing and company standards. </li>
<li>Prepares for and participates in internal and external audits including annual licensing inspections. </li>
<li>Monitors and ensures staff completion of all documentation including progress notes, data sheets, and medication administration required to ensure quality services</li>
<li>Supervises staff interactions with person(s) served and support staff to promote the rights of the person(s) served to achieve enhanced quality of life</li>
<li>Conducts timely performance reviews of direct support professionals. </li>
<li>Maintains a work environment that supports dignity and fair treatment of staff</li>
<li>Participates in employee recruitment, ensures vacancies are filled in a timely manner, and participates in all hiring and termination decisions for assigned location</li>
<li>Oversees staff training and on-site orientation and maintains staff training records</li>
<li>Ensure staff is properly trained on Material Data Safety Sheets for chemicals/supplies.</li>
<li>Ensures applicable Occupational Safety Health Administration compliance standards are met and all related training occurs. Documents training and compliance in accordance with ResCare and regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Promotes the individuality of person(s) served by ensuring that common living areas and bedrooms are individualized to reflect the personality of the person(s) who lives there</li>
<li>Implements systems for disposal, collection and storing of medical waste</li>
<li>Ensures that each person served has an activity schedule developed and implemented</li>
<li>Observes the implementation of client rights and coaches staff on choice issues such as possessions, use of money, and church preferences</li>
<li>Responds to emergencies for person(s) served</li>
<li>Participates as needed with investigations involving persons served and employees at assigned service site(s)</li>
<li>Ensures timely submission of trust fund requests, receipts, and related financial documentation</li>
<li>Monitors service site expenses, maintains receipts for expenses, and ensure that purchases are made according to regulatory and company standards. </li>

Qualifications

<li>One year of supervisory experience required</li>
<li>Previous experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. </li>
