Summary: The Direct Support Professional 3 will support and assist in Level 3 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Position: Direct Support Professional Male 1:1
Location: Little Rock, AR
Schedule: Monday - Friday 4pm-11pm
Starting Pay: $12.00 per hour (negotiable based on education and experience)

What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Support individuals in developing essential life skills, from health and hygiene to independent living tasks.</li>
<li>Foster a positive and respectful environment at home and in the community.</li>
<li>Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.</li>
<li>Help individuals engage with their community through activities like shopping, social events, appointments, and more.</li>
<li>Provide safe and reliable transportation using your personal vehicle (must meet AR state insurance requirements).</li>
<li>Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.</li>
<li>Offer valuable input during annual service planning meetings.</li>
<li>Complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions.</li>
<li>Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For:
<ul>
<li>Age Requirement: 18 years or older.</li>
<li>Education &amp; Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency. Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities may qualify.</li>
<li>Driver's License &amp; Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.</li>
<li>Background Check &amp; Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.</li>
<li>Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.</li>

Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities

Provide safe, personal care based on each client’s individualized Plan of Care

Escort or drive clients to appointments and activities safely and on time
</li>

Assist with light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, grocery shopping, ambulation, and transfers

Support with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
</li>
<li>
Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
</li>
<li>
Provide medication reminders and document care as directed

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (minimum)

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
