Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Care Provider, and the QIDP, the Residential Aides will provide training, direct care, and supervision of residents' daily needs. This position will also be responsible for completing assigned tasks and provide hands-on assistance in completing household responsibilities and meal preparations.
Requirements:
6 months work experience or volunteer work in a licensed health care facility or in a program that services people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
The position will require transportation of clients in the company’s vehicles; therefore, the applicant must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (in order to be insured by the company’s insurance carrier and must be over the age of 21 yrs).
Must be able to pass a TB clearance, physical background check.

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work WEEKENDS... Saturdays 4pm to 10pm and Sunday 8am to 4pm and 4pm to 10pm shifts. Being available for other days/times to serve as a back up staff is a huge plus. 
She is a college educated woman in the Riverknoll Apartments in the Baldwinsville area. She uses a wheelchair and requires total assistance with activities of daily life due to a physical disability. The individual is looking for dedicated staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in the community. Some responsibilities include... assisting with Personal Care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping and taking her to some medical appointments (as needed). 
She is a HUGE Syracuse Orange fan who has a knack for creative writing, enjoys adult coloring books, using her IPAD, going to the Casino, watching sports and the food channel, surfing the internet, listening to the radio, researching new recipes to try and baking cupcakes. She has an indoor cat that lives with her.
She and her staff will provide new hires with training shifts on transfers using an electric sit-to-stand/track system. New hires must have a driver's license, as you will be driving her specialized modified minivan.
Hiring for Back Up Staffing: Everyday 8am to 4pm and 4pm to 10pm, applicants don't have to be available for all shifts but the evening shift and weekends shifts are the highest need. In this role you will be trained and be added to her list of back up staff and will be called when an open shift is available. 
Evening shifts are pretty quiet, plenty of down time as she goes to bed around 7pm... DSP can watch TV, read, bring computer etc...
The current pay rate is $19.50 per hour.
All new hires must complete a five hour initial training. The pay rate for the initial training is $16.50/hour.

What you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Provide personal care assistance and companionship to your assigned client</li>
<li>Promote your client's quality of life through meaningful activity and/or conversation</li>
<li>Provide light housekeeping and meal prep; Transportation as appropriate</li>
<li>Follow care plans/instructions; communicate all changes and concerns with the Sage Home Care Manager</li>
<li>Complete an electronic daily shift report&nbsp;</li>
<li>Comply with Sage Eldercare’s Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.</li>
</ul>
Who you are:
<ul>
<li>Must have at least one year of experience working with a Home Care agency</li>
<li>Must have experience working with Dementia clients</li>
<li>May transport clients as part of job responsibilities. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the organization’s auto insurance requirements.</li>
<li>Must be passionate about working with seniors to improve their quality of life</li>
<li>Must have the ability to comprehend, speak, and write in English proficiently.</li>
