Lawyers On Demand is currently seeking skilled applicants on behalf of a global law firm in Northern Virginia to fill an opening as an Immigration Administrative Specialist. This role is equivalent to a Legal Secretary position that will provide administrative support to the firm's immigration team. This is a temp-to-hire role with an anticipated contract length of 8-12 weeks to determine fit. Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintains legal files (both paper &amp; electronic), organizes and files documents in designated order, as well as prepares, keyboards, enters, proofreads and processes legal and administrative correspondence</li>
<li>Processes time entry, opens new matters, drafts engagement letters and audits responses, makes travel arrangements, processes reimbursement expenses, maintains calendar, collates information, writes reports, prepares agendas, reviews and prepares of billing invoices, and other administrative duties, as needed by the department</li>
<li>Manages phone lines for supported attorneys, fields calls and conveys messages as necessary</li>
<li>Communicates with clients and agencies</li>
<li>Updates information and uploads documents into an immigration case management system</li>
<li>Manages document deliveries and tracks final executed documentation</li>
<li>Assists with overflow work and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned</li>

Qualifications &amp; Prior Experience:

<li>Experience working in an Immigration law practice strongly preferred</li>
<li>Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologies</li>
<li>Previous experience with INSZoom is a plus</li>
<li>Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly</li>
