The Physical Therapist will support US Air Force fighter squadrons as an embedded asset under the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program. You will help maximize the physical readiness and long-term health of fighter aircrew by addressing musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, particularly related to neck and back pain caused by flight demands. As a multidisciplinary team member, you will be an important part of the injury prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation aspects of fighter aircrew.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.</li>
<li>Design, Implement, and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.</li>

Job Description
Speech &amp; Language Therapy Assistant - 7.5 hrs/day (Special Education/PC#253610,PC#253465)
Position Summary: Assists a Speech and Language Therapist or Audiologist in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services for pupils with speech and language disorders. Assists in providing training and use of augmentative and alternative communication devices and technology.

Application Deadline: 11/7/2025 Work Year: 182 work days/year Employee Type: Full-Time Salary: $28.50 - $37.64 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience. Location: Special Education Services Hours: 7.5 hours/day; 5 days/week Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience: The position requires an Associate’s degree in speech and language pathology and supervised observation and field experience. Clinical experience is preferred. 
Licenses and Certifications: May require a valid driver’s license. Valid registration as a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech/Language Pathology Board.
