Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschool students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school-based setting near Canon City, CO. This engaging position allows you to nurture communication growth in young learners while enjoying a balanced and flexible workweek.

Your therapy expertise will be pivotal in helping students reach important milestones, with a caseload of 35–45 preschoolers. The unique schedule alternates: two weeks each month consist of four days per week, while the remaining two weeks are five-day workweeks—providing both structure and genuine flexibility.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado SLP license required
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Certification required
  • Credentials as SLP-CCC or eligibility for SLP-CFY welcomed
  • Experience or passion for working with preschool-aged children is highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and design individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Deliver direct therapy services to a preschool caseload, fostering communication skills and developmental success
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support holistic student development
  • Maintain timely documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and monitor student progress throughout the school year
  • Start the academic year on August 12th, 2026, with the contract ending May 20th, 2027
