40 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday)

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: A BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, or candidates must be enrolled within six months of hire.</li>
<li>Experience: At least two years of clinical experience is necessary.</li>
<li>Must hold a current state license if required for the discipline.</li>
<li>AHA BLS certification is required.</li>
<li>Demonstrates clinical expertise related to evidence-based practices, with the ability to positively impact patient care delivery.</li>
<li>Proven skills in organization and multitasking to meet project deadlines.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.</li>
<li>Familiarity with audiovisual equipment is a plus.</li>
<li>Understanding of the technology and equipment used in patient care delivery.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience:
<ul>
<li>Two years of teaching experience.</li>

Position Overview:
Your Responsibilities

<li>Educate women, children, and families on various subjects, including:
<ul>
<li>Heart health</li>
<li>Childbirth and newborn care</li>
<li>CPR and First Aid</li>
<li>Babysitting and home safety</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Implement approved curriculum to conduct engaging and informative classes.</li>
<li>Guide new educators and support departmental operations.</li>
<li>Engage in community outreach initiatives, facility tours, and special events.</li>
<li>Foster a safe and respectful atmosphere for all participants.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).</li>
<li>Licensure: Valid RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.</li>
<li>Certifications:

<li>American Heart Association certification is mandatory for teaching CPR and First Aid.</li>
<li>Lamaze International certification is preferred.</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience: Prior teaching experience is advantageous.</li>
<li>Skills: Strong communication and time management abilities; capacity to engage diverse audiences effectively.</li>

As a student enrolled in an accredited nursing program for registered or practical nurses, the Nurse Extern role allows you to engage in clinical activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). In this position, you will contribute to personalized patient care aimed at helping individuals achieve optimal wellness, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team, and performing specific clinical and non-clinical tasks within the extern's responsibilities.
Position Overview:
Six-Week Winter Externship Program
Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Program Details:
Throughout your six-week externship, you will work closely with a preceptor and may have the chance to observe in various departments. Explore where your nursing passion can take you!
Eligibility Criteria:
This program is available to unlicensed RN students (those who do not hold or obtain an LPN license during the program) who have completed a minimum of two semesters in nursing school and are expected to graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
Certifications: A valid BLS Certification is required prior to independently caring for patients.
