Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students’ growth and learning as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year in Spokane, WA. This contract position places you either at an elementary or high school, providing stability as you build meaningful relationships and champion student success in a single assigned building or campus.
In this role, you will focus on conducting approximately 50-60 evaluations annually, coordinating assessments, and utilizing evidence-based behavioral strategies including BIPs, AIPs, FBAs, ABA, and Discrete Trial Training. Your expertise in report preparation will directly inform and support the special education team’s efforts. Collaboration and communication skills are essential as you become a valued resource for students and colleagues alike.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current ESA certification in School Psychology for Washington State
- Background in school psychology or related experience within a public school setting preferred
- Ability to undergo and pass a fingerprint background check
- Solid grounding in ABA methodologies and positive behavioral interventions
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students and coordinate assessment processes
- Serve a consistent caseload at either elementary or high school level, assigned to a campus
- Implement and document behavioral interventions using ABA and Discrete Trial Training
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for the special education team
- Occasionally cover multiple buildings within a single campus, as needed
