The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator is required to excavate, move, grade, and/or compact earth under general supervision of a Field Foreman in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner. Routine maintenance and repair to equipment in addition to other duties are also required. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, scrapers, dozers, graders, compactors, snowblowers and other pieces of equipment. The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean and ensure all equipment is in proper condition.
Martin Construction Inc. uses CAT Models and will be expected to operate 627's, 637's and 657's.

A Day in the Life:&nbsp;
As an Installer, you can expect to work alongside the Operations team to install and maintain billboards while prioritizing the safety of yourself and others. Installation most often includes handling a large advertisement printed on vinyl and ensuring it is properly assembled to the billboard structure. The tallest billboard structure in the company is around 200 feet, so comfort with heights is a must.&nbsp;
Maintenance of our billboards includes construction work such as tightening bolts, painting steel structures, repairing trim and various parts of a billboard sign face and structure, changing light bulbs, and more. As for power/manual tools: you bring the experience, we bring the equipment!&nbsp;
In this role you'll be expected to:

<li>Remove and hang flexes from billboards, remove and hang vinyls, cut and prepare flexes and vinyls for installation, cut, prepare and install copies on Tri-Visions</li>
<li>Build and install extensions on billboards, cut brush/weeds, conduct storm damage repairs and minor electrical repairs, and maintain a clean workshop area</li>
<li>Use power/manual tools while adhering to safety regulations</li>
<li>Attend installer and construction safety meetings as required</li>
<li>Maintain operation vehicles; maintain construction tools, equipment, and machinery</li>
<li>Take completion photos for proof of performance of installations</li>

A Day in the Life:&nbsp;
As an Installer, you can expect to work alongside the Operations team to install and maintain billboards while prioritizing the safety of yourself and others. Installation most often includes handling a large advertisement printed on vinyl and ensuring it is properly assembled to the billboard structure. The tallest billboard structure in the company is around 200 feet, so comfort with heights is a must.&nbsp;
Maintenance of our billboards includes construction work such as tightening bolts, painting steel structures, repairing trim and various parts of a billboard sign face and structure, changing light bulbs, and more. As for power/manual tools: you bring the experience, we bring the equipment!&nbsp;
In this role you'll be expected to:
<ul>
<li>Remove and hang flexes from billboards, remove and hang vinyls, cut and prepare flexes and vinyls for installation, cut, prepare and install copies on Tri-Visions</li>
<li>Build and install extensions on billboards, cut brush/weeds, conduct storm damage repairs and minor electrical repairs, and maintain a clean workshop area</li>
<li>Use power/manual tools while adhering to safety regulations</li>
<li>Attend installer and construction safety meetings as required</li>
<li>Maintain operation vehicles; maintain construction tools, equipment, and machinery</li>
<li>Take completion photos for proof of performance of installations</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to climb heights and work at heights above ground safely</li>
<li>Ability to document installations, through photographs and written logs</li>
<li>Skill in the practical applications of mathematics, in relation to construction and operations tasks</li>

Education and Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>A high school diploma or equivalent is required</li>
<li>A valid driver’s license is required.</li>
<li>Ability to complete OSHA 10-hour Construction course required</li>
<li>CDL and Non-CDL licenses are a plus, but not required!</li>
<li>Previous experience working at heights up to 200 ft. above ground preferred</li>
<li>Construction and/or billboard installation experience a plus, but not required</li>

Job DescriptionSalary: $22 -$40 Hour DOE 
LaRiviere, Inc. is looking for skilled heavy equipment operators for heavy civil work in the Coeur d Alene, Idaho and Spokane Washington areas . Operators will be operating a wide variety of equipment including loaders, excavators, rollers, dozers, bobcats, water trucks and be expected to assist with labor tasks when not operating.

Primary Job Function:
<ul>
<li>Ability to operate construction related heavy equipment (Excavator, Skid-steer, bulldozer, backhoe, front end loader, grader, articulating haul truck, etc.) proficiently and safely at all times and in all types of conditions.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with ground personnel and/or other operators using universal hand signals.</li>
<li>Position requires continuously and frequently bending, climbing stairs/steps, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance.), repeated push pull motion, simple grasping, fine manipulation. This position will assist with manual labor activities as necessary.</li>
<li>Ability to work safely around other moving machinery, exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases. Required to work in all weather conditions. Duties will vary based on weather and time of season.</li>

Qualifications / Expectations
