We also provide O&amp;M Core Services that enable management and maintenance of training areas and ranges by integrating mission requirements with environmental requirements and sound land management practices under the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (DPTMS) Directorate. The Fort Rucker Range and Training Complex encompasses roughly 60,000 acres across the Alabama counties of Dale and Coffee.
 
The HEO operates equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. You may need to read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and you may need to grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.
 
Basic requirements of the position include (but are not limited to):

<li>Perform erosion control maintenance as directed by the Crew Chief and Supervisor.</li>
<li>Perform operator-level maintenance on dump trucks, backhoe, loader, farm tractor and other equipment as directed by the Crew Chief.</li>
<li>Operate equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, fork lift, dozer and farm tractor (with attachments).</li>

What We're Looking For
PEAKE is looking for capableNetwork Installation Technicians, experienced in the installation of CAT 6 and Fiber Optic structured cable distribution systems, to join an on-site installation team at China Lake, CA. You'll collaborate with network designers, engineers, and other install technicians to carry out key tasks and support the overall network infrastructure.

The right candidates can terminate Ethernet and fiber cables using various methods, are familiar with connector types and manufacturers, and are experienced in testing and troubleshooting fiber optic installations using Fluke and OTDR testing.

You should also have expertise in cable pulling, fire stopping, cable dressing, and labeling according to industry standards.
 
Work Location &amp; Schedule
This position follows a rotating travel schedule: 
<ul>
<li>Spend 8 weeks working onsite at China Lake, CA, followed by 2 weeks off at home to rest and recharge</li>
<li>All travel and onsite accommodation expenses fully covered</li>
<li>Daily per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses. (Note: based on GSA rates and typically tax-free when aligned with federal travel guidelines; paid in addition to wages to reduce out-of-pocket costs and simplify expense tracking.)</li>

What Youll Need to Succeed: Technical Skills
Required Qualifications:

<li>24 years of relevant experience in:

<li>CAT6 and fiber optic structured cable distribution system installation</li>
<li>Terminating all forms of Ethernet and fiber using various methods; familiarity with connector types and manufacturers</li>
<li>Testing single-mode and multi-mode fiber installations; experience with Fluke and OTDR testing and fiber optic troubleshooting</li>
<li>Pulling cable, fire stopping, dressing cables, and labeling in accordance with industry standards</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience with fiber characterization testing and issue resolution</li>
<li>Skilled in installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber cabling</li>
<li>Installing closet hardware, including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures</li>

Position Overview: The Tier 4 AVL Installation Technician will work closely with the Project Manager and/or the Tier 5 Installation Technician to coordinate all project requirements, and then to work with installation teams, ensuring successful completion of the project. This position will provide opportunities to act onsite in a supportive leadership role for the assigned installation and team, under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager and/or Tier 5 Installation Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
