Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in invoice processing, data management, and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately code invoices and match them to the appropriate supporting documentation. • Perform data entry of invoices into the designated accounting system. • Process invoices for timely payments while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Conduct regular check runs and reconcile payment discrepancies. • Maintain organized records of financial transactions and payment history. • Utilize intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice-related issues. • Ensure proper use of the Navision system for financial operations. • Assist with month-end closing and other accounting tasks as needed. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. • Familiarity with accounting systems, particularly Navision. • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • Ability to perform check runs and reconcile accounts efficiently. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
