Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This part-time role supports essential financial operations, focusing on invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records. Located in Saint Louis, Missouri, this hybrid position offers both in-office and remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities:
• Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger, including invoices, purchase orders, credit card charges, and payments.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries and address discrepancies in a precise and timely manner.
• Schedule and execute payments to vendors and service providers, prioritizing accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile invoices and payments, ensuring system reports align with account balances.
• Review employee expense reports and process reimbursements in accordance with company guidelines.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for payment and invoicing workflows.
• Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data to maintain the integrity of organizational records.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support financial operations and organizational efficiency.• Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
• Ability to perform check runs and accurately code invoices.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for vendor interactions and team collaboration.
