Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to a school-based environment in Barre, Vermont. This contract position involves assisting with daily operations, maintaining smooth communication, and ensuring the accuracy of administrative processes. The role requires a proactive individual committed to confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the school staff, including managing daily operations and correspondence. • Organize meetings, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely preparation of reports and documentation. • Act as a liaison to facilitate communication between staff, parents, and external organizations. • Provide backup administrative coverage to other program locations within a 10-mile radius as required. • Handle sensitive information related to children and families with discretion and confidentiality. • Assist in coordinating schedules and appointments to optimize workflow. • Support data entry tasks and maintain databases with precision. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite efficiently to prepare documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. • Respond to inbound calls and emails promptly, ensuring excellent customer service. • Contribute to team efforts by performing additional duties as needed.• Proven administrative experience, preferably within a school, healthcare, or non-profit setting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly. • Willingness to travel locally to provide administrative coverage at nearby locations on a contractual basis. • Ability to manage schedules, appointments, and correspondence with accuracy. • Customer service experience, including handling inbound and outbound calls.
