The Front Desk Coordinator has the responsibility for greeting and registration patients at point of service at each individual clinic. The position is to interview and validate PHI on the phone and in person; coordinates and organizes appointments to facilitate the efficient running of the office and physician schedule .
 
Essential Functions: 
<ul>
<li>Greet patients utilizing professionalism and quality customer service</li>
<li>Register new patients per protocol, assisting in form and documentation completion, as needed; inform of Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) policies and procedures</li>
<li>Schedule patient appointments; reschedule appointments</li>
<li>Obtain proof of insurance and ensure they are scanned into dental record</li>
<li>Verify and update patient information in the electronic health record</li>
<li>Adhere to all TFHC, accreditation agency, HIPAA, State and Local rules and regulations</li>
<li>Answer and manage all incoming calls</li>
<li>Confirm appointments and recalls, per protocol</li>
<li>Collect and document payments received from patients at time of treatment</li>
<li>Inform answering service when dental office is on/off-line; forward answering messages to appropriate staff</li>
</ul>
General Duties:

<li>Support the Mission, Vision and Values of TFHC</li>
<li>Perform all duties and tasks efficiently and effectively, as assigned</li>
<li>Maintain appointment logs</li>
<li>Other duties, as assigned</li>
</ul>
Knowledge and Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum 1 year customer service experience</li>
<li>Ability to navigate and enter data into an electronic health record</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn and utilize healthcare related software</li>
<li>Outstanding customer service skills</li>
<li>Bilingual preferred.</li>
</ul>
 
Education, Certification Training and License:
<ul>
<li>Associates Degree Preferred.</li>
</ul>
