About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build reliable and maintainable applications, infrastructure, and interfaces that make interacting with the health care system easier for members and providers. You will work with partners, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems. Senior Engineers collaborate with other engineers on the team to improve technology and apply best practices.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $158,400 - $207,900 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities

<li>Become the expert on your team's business and technical domains.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>5+ years of professional software engineering experience, working with a variety of technologies, and have increasingly impactful accomplishments</li>
<li>Experience proposing, experimenting, and iterating, whether it be a new shiny technology or an arcane, ill-conceived data structure; our company may be new, but the health industry isn't!</li>
<li>Experience with technical contributions, improving the quality of what you create, and are excited to build fault-tolerant, and scalable software systems.</li>
<li>Demonstrates solid understanding of the practical application of CS concepts within their team.</li>
<li>Consistently writes stable, correct, and maintainable code with little oversight; writes modular, adaptable code with guidance.</li>
</ul>
Bonus Points
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting libraries and writing in Python and Golang.</li>
<li>Experience owning observability stack tooling, e.g. Grafana, BigQuery, Kubernetes.</li>

Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Job Overview - Construction and AV Project Management This role is responsible for the execution of EENYs projects through oversight of the forecasting, planning, scheduling, logistics, physical installation, and finishing of projects. This role directly oversees Project Managers and indirectly oversees Assistant Project Managers, they will enable their success through guidance, supervision, coaching and mentoring. The Director of PM monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems, proposes operational improvements, and cost savings for future projects. As needed, the Director of PM will be assigned as Project Manager for a small portfolio of projects.
 
Responsibilities and Duties - AV Project Management
Leadership:

<li>Lead and manage direct reports in the project management team. Hold team members accountable for responsibilities.</li>
</ul>

<li>Define processes for project delivery in company software/productivity tools.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the resolution and/or correction of interdepartmental issues.</li>

<ul>
<li>Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to PMs &amp; APMs.</li>

<li>Identify where remedial or advanced training is needed for direct reports, setting one standard for all.</li>
</ul>

<li>Mentor direct reports in job related skills, such as leadership, decision making, adhering to company standards, established practices, and company protocols.</li>

<li>Review accepted proposals for scope/timeline and assignment of PMs with an eye on balanced workloads.</li>

<li>Ensure projects are covered when direct reports are on PTO.</li>

<li>Responsible for 30/60/90-day forecasting; ensure PMs are maintaining and updating their baseline schedules. Verify scheduling necessary resources 30-days prior to site presence. </li>

<li>Ensure effective use of resources via scheduling and logistics, minimizing return trips.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Visit job sites with PMs/APMs as needed for purposes of quality assurance.</li>
</ul>

<li>Provide leadership and planning to drive profitable projects to completion; monitor weekly/monthly status reports, punch lists, and closeouts.</li>

<li>Review all change orders for accuracy, justification, proper labor, and proper discounts as appliable.</li>

<li>Ensure proper administrative closeout of projects, ensuring all contractual obligations have been met and that the assigned PM has adhered to EENYs Service handoff process.</li>
<li>Fulfill all the duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager, as needed as a back-up or for your own assigned projects.</li>

Job Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in design and implementation of technology systems.</li>

<li>Prior experience as a team, department, or operations leader preferred.</li>
