Responsibilities:

<li>Demonstrate through action and interaction with staff, YMCA members and the public, the Four Character Development Principles of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. </li>
<li>Interpret and communicates the Mission, objectives, and programs to Members and program participants through YMCA activities, trainings, fundraising, and staff meetings</li>
</ol>
 QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>At least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Group Fitness Instructor Certification from one or more of the following: AFAA( with certification prior to October 2023), ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, or other nationally recognized through NCCA, tested, and renewal required certification.
<ol>
<li>If only teaching Yoga, must be registered with RYA</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Six months to one year experience leading group exercise classes preferred.</li>
<li>Completes YMCA required trainings upon hire</li>
<li>Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.</li>
<li>Utilities above average program implementation skills, outstanding communication skills, and exceptional organizational skills</li>
<li>Able to respond professionally and swiftly in cases of injuries and emergencies</li>

STARTING PAY: $16.75-$22.75 (DOE)
