Sunrise Dental of Spokane is looking for a part time Dental Hygienist! 2-4 days per week with flexibility on days.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid Washington State Dental Hygiene License
• CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire (we will help with this if you don't have)
• Experience working in a busy dental office with knowledge of dental hygiene procedures is preferred.
• Prior dental hygienist experience is preferred but not required. We will help you get started if you need help.
• You must be comfortable computerizing your work and have an understanding of how to use our system.
• You must truly love people and be able to maintain good communication with patients, especially during difficult times like after an accident or during a flu or cold.

Responsibilities:

• Completing dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories; charting in patient records.
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession.
