Job Summary:
We are seeking a Dentist specializing in pediatric mobile dentistry. A full-time or part-time position responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventive dental care in a pediatric mobile setting. The Staff Dentist supervises the dental assistant and dental hygienist on the pediatric mobile unit.
 
Work Schedule Demands:
Full and part-time positions to be determined by Vice President of FHS. 
Due to the nature of the job, this individual must be flexible with their schedule to accommodate the client population. 
May be required to work at any CCAP location. Evenings and special events as needed. 
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:

<li>Graduation from an accredited dental school</li>
<li>Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred</li>

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Examines individuals requesting care, diagnoses their dental/oral conditions, prescribes, and carries out, or directs others in carrying out as appropriate to scope of service, appropriate dental/oral treatment, or refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.</li>
<li>Records patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record so that the dental record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient and the care or treatment provided. In addition, the Staff Dentist shall complete referrals, data collections instruments and other records or paper works as shall be required from time to time by the corporation.</li>
<li>Educates individuals in oral health related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention.</li>
<li>Serves on the dental staff and other center committees as assigned.</li>
<li>Prepares specific reports as requested by the community health center’s Dental Director.</li>
<li>Assists in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and the orientation of community health center staff as requested.</li>
<li>Designs, develops, and implements appropriate Dental Department policies, protocols and procedures as directed by the Dental Director which are following the most current accepted professional standards.</li>
<li>Assists in the provision of technical assistance and health education to the community as requested.</li>
<li>Participates in short- and long-term program planning for the Dental Department and the agency, including development of goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Provides consultation to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors regarding dental and oral health issues in the absence of the Dental Director.</li>
<li>Travels, when necessary, to fulfill the corporation’s needs and attends meetings as necessary to represent the corporation and/or the Dental Department.</li>
<li>Assists in the coordination and integration of the corporation’s dental programs and services with other corporate programs and services for the welfare of the corporation’s patients.</li>
<li>Responsible for personal full compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and center rules, regulations, protocols, and procedures governing the practice of dentistry and the clinical provision of dental care as well as those relating to, but not limited to, personnel issues, workplace safety, public health, and confidentiality.</li>
<li>Participates in recruitment/retention activities of the corporation as necessary.</li>
<li>As directed by the Dental Director, performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Always maintains patient confidentiality with regard to personal, medical, dental and billing information.</li>
<li>Participates in all QI activities including peer review.</li>

A clinician in the Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) program plays a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health care to children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues. The primary objective of the clinician is to deliver individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions directly in the client’s home, supporting both the child and their family.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …
We are seeking licensed clinicians to provide assessment and treatment to individuals with a multitude of backgrounds. In this position you will have a critical role both delivering direct services and as a clinical consultant to the multi-disciplinary team.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide group, individual, and family therapy to clients as required.</li>
<li>Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and on-going assessments. </li>
<li>Work with service recipients to create person-centered recovery plans. </li>
<li>Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.</li>
<li>Complete all agency records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach. </li>
<li>Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization. </li>
<li>Serve as a client advocate with appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies, provide consultation and follow-up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and inpatient units. </li>

<li>Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy or a related clinical field.</li>
<li>Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred. LCSW and LMHC will also be considered.</li>

<li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and genuine outlook about change with a belief that people can achieve positive outcomes. </li>
