We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to support a special needs child within the school district. This role is ideal for nurses seeking part-time work during school hours. The position involves starting the day by riding the bus with the child and concluding with the return trip home.&nbsp;

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide age-appropriate health, social, and developmental assessments using relevant tools and methodologies, such as Growth and Development Charts and the Denver Developmental Screening Test (Denver II).</li>
<li>Integrate the patient’s health history and physical assessment data to develop a suitable plan of care and teaching strategy that includes the family/caregiver's role.</li>
<li>Collaborate with patients, parents/family, and significant others to implement, evaluate, and modify care and teaching plans as necessary.</li>
<li>Perform nursing treatments and tests, including wound care, infusions, medication administration, venipuncture, and tube feedings, under physician orders.</li>
<li>Accurately record all pertinent data in accordance with facility information systems and protocols.</li>
<li>Complete other assignments as requested and assigned.</li>
<li>May have access to personal health information (PHI) necessary to fulfill duties and responsibilities, with access and disclosure defined by each organization/department.</li>
<li>The intended start date is August 30th.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Education &amp; Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.</li>
<li>At least one year of experience as a Pediatric RN within the last five years.</li>
<li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification covering infants, children, and adults.</li>
<li>Proven experience with ventilator/tracheostomy care, tube feeding, and transfer assistance.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Effective communication skills with clinical and non-clinical staff, children, adolescents, and family/caregivers.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license, if applicable.</li>
<li>Meets applicable health requirements for patient care.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Work settings include clinics, schools, hospitals, doctor’s offices, or occupational settings providing daycare for children.</li>
<li>Physical capabilities include stretching, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.</li>
<li>Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and potentially infectious or hazardous materials requires extensive safety precautions and protective equipment (e.g., face masks, goggles, gloves).</li>
<li>Requires good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to operate equipment, prepare medications, and handle instruments.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and distinguish colors as necessary for job functions.</li>
<li>Physical activity involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.</li>
