The Records Associate is responsible for ensuring that all records management principles, policies, and procedures are consistently followed. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and security of firm records.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

<li>Locate, compile, and distribute requested files, documents, and information.</li>
<li>Inter-file documents into existing files as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain efficient organization and arrangement of the file room.</li>
<li>Use a handheld barcode scanner to track the location and movement of case files.</li>
<li>Process inactive and closed files in preparation for transfer to off-site storage.</li>
<li>Coordinate with off-site storage vendors for file retrieval and storage.</li>
<li>Maintain daily productivity logs to monitor departmental activities and workload.</li>
<li>Research case information in various client databases as needed.</li>
<li>Provide backup support to other departments, including reception, conference center, mail, and copy services.</li>
<li>Assist with other reasonable requests as needed.</li>

Job Requirements

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.</li>
<li>Prior records management experience preferred.</li>
<li>Proficiency with various hardware platforms, including PCs, scanners, printers, and MFDs.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to climb short ladders or step stools and maintain balance with or without loaded boxes.</li>
<li>Ability to lift, push, and unload carts of boxes or files.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of client inquiries and ability to provide effective responses.</li>

<li>Effective written and oral communication skills.</li>
