GP Strategies Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Consultant to join our team. This is a full-time, benefitted role supporting one of our major financial clients located in Buffalo, NY. This position is onsite four days per week, with one day remote. In this role, you will be partnering with a leading financial institution to support learning initiatives. We are seeking candidates with prior experience in learning consulting with a preference for bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.
 
The Learning Consultant is accountable for project managing the deployment of instructor-led and virtual instructor-led learning solutions. This role is responsible for participating in end-to-end solution from identification of learning need (needs analysis), to providing expertise on training deployment best practices, through to project management of delivery. The role will apply a consistent project management rigor to every new/updated course that is introduced to ensure successful launches.
 
The role will partner directly with regional teams, and suppliers to maintain overall project governance, and serve as the single point of contact for deployment preparation including managing pilot activity (if required), trainer sourcing and local certification. The role will work in partnership with Regional and Local Learning Leads, Global Deployment Managers, Faculty, Administration Teams and Suppliers.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Engage with Learning Consultants and Specialists to understand the learning needs of the organization and how this supports the aims, objectives, values, and culture of the business.</li>
<li>Provide support during Solution Development phase to determine operational deployment strategy, ensuring that resources can be estimated, and local deployment/delivery needs can be represented.</li>
<li>Provide subject matter expertise on course catalogue to output delivery recommendations based on course feedback, trends, and current strategies.</li>
<li>Identify training delivery needs not currently supported by the course catalogue and support customers in sourcing new content.</li>
<li>Work with Global Delivery stakeholders to review and understand requirements of the Program Manual working in partnership with local clients for any regional requirements.</li>
<li>Act as main point of contact for stakeholders for the request of delivery needs, working with them to understand delivery requirements, scoping of required resources and prepare costing information in line with approved rate cards.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate class data is input into the Demand Process for scheduling and Service Order generation to support.</li>
<li>Lead Demand Planning Meetings, planned and ad hoc with recommended agenda to ensure accurate visibility into scheduled and planned delivery and outline recommendations via take up review for cancellations and action based on class volume and budget consumption insights and trends.</li>
<li>Liaise with other internal service areas and/or external suppliers to meet ensure the agreed deliverables and administration of classes are met as agreed in contract.</li>
<li>Proactively report and highlight any risks and issues to the project plan or deliverables with relevant mitigation actions as required.</li>
<li>Understand Course-specific communications needs and manage output of communication and marketing calendar updates needs through Administration Teams.</li>
<li>Manage any changes to scope and complete change requests as necessary.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Manages all plant units responsible for monitoring and ensuring plant products are safe and meet customer specifications and company quality and reliability standards. Develops and implements short-term and mid-term business plans for the department and assists in the development of the strategic plan for the plant.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties as assigned:
 
<ol>
<li>Responsible on managing and overseeing daily quality functions in the department</li>
<li>Lead the Quality team to troubleshoot nonconformance issues identified at the plant and conduct, respond, and summarize root cause analysis and corrective action. Handle and monitor Pest control activity at the plant level and perform Pest control verification at a minimum once every quarter against pest control services.</li>
<li>Handle, monitor, and lead the interdepartmental team at the plant for monthly GMP walkthrough and report results in the GMP meeting for observation and action plan.</li>
<li>Interface with Inter-departmental function to identify, propose, document, and follow up on activities that need to be performed including plant repairs.</li>
<li>Lead as a HACCP Coordinator at the plant to oversee all food safety-related conditions and all HACCP-related activities that include but are not limited to HACPP meetings, HACCP reassessment, and HACCP plan review.</li>
<li>Handle, Coordinate, Monitor and respond to customer complaints.</li>
<li>Responsible for trend analysis on food safety and quality related data that includes KPI, micro performance at the plant for environmental swabs, material and finished product.</li>
<li>Handle interview and train new hires, ongoing training for all the QC Technician employees for food safety and quality related activities at a minimum of once annually.</li>
<li>Represent Quality department to attend regular meetings as required.</li>
<li>Liaison as a led contact to plant USDA Inspector to coordinate, handle and response of any regulatory issues/concerns/opportunities and inquiry.</li>
<li>Participate as a representative of Quality in plant trial and commercialization.</li>
<li>Review record associated with product safety and quality and responsible for product releases.</li>
<li>Interact with customer and supplier as required by issues arises caused by material/ingredient/product quality issue.</li>
<li>Summarize and report department activities periodically at minimum monthly, including issues, schedules, or any changes.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing training for all the QC Technician employees</li>
<li>Responsible to lead customer, supplier, SQF, and regulatory audits with the multi-functional team.</li>
<li>Lead or support continuous improvement efforts on projects including for plant productivity, Yield improvement, and food safety preventive measures.</li>
<li>Drive good culture at the plant focusing on food safety and customer service #1.</li>
</ol>
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
<ul>
<li>3+ years of USDA background with Meat Food Manufacturing.</li>
<li>1+ years of FDA background within the Food Industry</li>
<li>2+ years’ experience in a Managerial and Compliance role.</li>
<li>2+ years of GFSI (SQF) audit experience</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in science, preferably in Food Science and Technology.</li>
<li>Microbiology experience is a plus</li>
<li>Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus</li>
<li>Excellent leadership skills.</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft Office skills</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.</li>
