Overview
Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is to assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment, with urgency. Key duties associated with assisting the dentist in starting treatment include: utilizing x-ray time to promote the good qualities of the dentist, learning the patient’s expectations while educating them with intra-oral pictures, using effective and anticipatory chair-side skills, and effectively supporting the dentist’s diagnosis after the examination when the patient asks questions. The RDA should abide by procedures needed for compliance with state and federal safety regulation, infection control, and permitted duties.

<li>Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state (e.g. coronal polish, radiograph exposure, ultrasonic scaling for orthodontic procedures, pit and fissure sealant application, etc)</li>
<li>Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred</li>

About the Role

During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member’s current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member’s overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers:

<li>Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols</li>

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assess the clinical nutrition needs of residents/patients and develop and document the plan within the electronic medical record.</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on clinical findings, lab results, weight trends, intake, and comorbidities </li>
<li>Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents/patients, families, and staff.</li>
<li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to determine a plan of care that improves residents'/patients’ overall health and well-being.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to CMS, State, and Federal regulations and company standards.</li>
<li>Provide coverage in multiple buildings based on company needs, and as desired.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. **</li>
<li>Hold a Certification/License in good standing within the state of practice.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the state survey process and compliance with nutrition care regulations (preferred, but not required).</li>
<li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li>
<li>Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.</li>
<li>Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customers.</li>
<li>If multi-site registered dietitian, must have valid Driver's License</li>
</ul>
