Position Overview:
Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Cardiologist. As a prominent institution in the realm of advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and the management of cardiogenic shock, we proudly hold the highest 90-day heart transplant survival rate in the United States. We are eager to welcome a highly skilled cardiologist for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track role.
This position is situated at UPMC Presbyterian within the newly constructed Kamin Tower, located in the vibrant Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The selected candidate will deliver comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity Cardiac Critical Care Unit, working in close collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in a quaternary care environment, with access to advanced cardiovascular treatments, innovative clinical research, and a strong educational mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex cardiovascular conditions, including advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, acute myocardial infarction, mechanical circulatory support, and complications related to structural heart disease.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring fellows and residents, reinforcing our dedication to patient-centered, team-oriented care.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
