Job Responsibilities: 
Essential Job Functions:

<li>Sets up fixtures in both manual and CNC machines.</li>
<li>Operates both manual and CNC machines.</li>
<li>Ability to use all types of machining measuring equipment such as but not limited to: micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, height gauges. </li>
<li>Completes paperwork to maintain records, fills out inspection reports, and department standards. </li>
<li>Reads moderately difficult blueprints or job orders for product specification such as dimensions and tolerance.</li>
<li>Reads tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds depth of cut.</li>
<li>Secures tooling in tool holder (chuck, collet, and tool post). </li>
<li>Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures. </li>
<li>Loads proper CNC programs into the control. </li>
<li>Responsible for achieving the desired quality level on parts manufactured personally and by lower level machinists and operators, with the highest degree of labor efficiency possible. </li>

Non-essential Job Functions:

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Qualification Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Extended periods of standing. Good vision for inspecting work and preparing programs/drawings on computer. 2-8 years of experience in machine operation, basic computer skills, and some CNC experience required.
Working Environment: Clean, well-lit, air-conditioned area. Must be very safety oriented in the use of all machinery.
