We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instructional Designer/Trainer to support a dynamic technology project. This role involves creating and maintaining user training materials and documentation, delivering engaging training sessions, and providing user support. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with a passion for instructional design, strong communication abilities, and experience working in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience working in Agile project teams.

At least 3 years of instructional design experience, including developing and delivering training for software applications.

Proficiency with tools for web development and training content creation (e.g., Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Skilled in recording and editing training videos, including adding closed captions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to lead live training effectively.

Customer-oriented with proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues.

This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation. 
The Substitute Teacher role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Assistant Teacher

Job DescriptionSalary: $19 per hour 
SMYAL is seeking a motivated youth leader passionate about supporting and empowering LGBTQ+ youth and young adults. All year-long Youth Interns are between 18 and 24 years old. Interns are provided with access to professional development opportunities while assisting the SMYAL team with crucial administrative and programmatic tasks, as well as having the opportunity to contribute to SMYALs decision making and growth. The intern will have the opportunity to strengthen other skills they have previously specified as an area of interest, such as activism, social media management, fundraising, etc.
 
The Youth Engagement Intern assists the Youth Engagement Manager with the planning and implementation of the Youth Engagement program. The program is designed for LGBTQ+ youth ages 14-24. This will be a 12 month, paid, part-time internship for up to 20 hours per week, with some nights and weekends required. The Intern must be available during Youth Engagement programming times: currently virtual Wednesdays 5-6:30pm EST and in-person 2 Saturdays a month from 4:00pm-7:00pm (subject to change). The remaining hours will be determined together between the Intern and Manager. The Intern must also be available for weekly staff and team meetings, and weekly check-in meetings with the Manager. This position works both virtually and in-person at our main offices, located in Washington, DC, with an anticipated start in late January 2026.
 
Internship Responsibilities:

<li>Assist the Youth Development &amp; Community Engagement team in the daily operations of our community engagement events, and after-school and Summer programming.</li>
<li>Co-create, plan, and facilitate youth programming with Youth Engagement Manager</li>
<li>With the help of the Youth Engagement Manager, increase peer education by developing culturally relevant workshops. (Interns will be required to develop and give at least 4 workshops during their time at SMYAL.)</li>
<li>With the help of the Youth Engagement Manager, support in person and digital outreach and recruitment of youth for SMYAL programs and events.</li>
<li>Develop and strengthen other skills they have previously specified as an area of interest, such as activism, social media management, development, etc.</li>
<li>In July and August, help facilitate our annual summer camp for youth ages 6-13, and assist staff in planning and execution as needed.</li>
<li>Participate in our annual Youth Pride event, and assist staff with planning and execution as needed</li>

<li>Support the creation and monthly outreach of a programmatic newsletter</li>

This position participates in AHIP's highly matrixed public affairs efforts, including lobbying for Congressional activities and related issues, as well as cross-functional agenda setting. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
<ol>
<li>Represents AHIP as a Congressional lobbyist. Maintains extensive contacts and develops strong relationships with members of Congress, Congressional staff, and other vital organizations to develop support for industry positions. </li>
<li>Responsible for advocacy with Congress on AHIP’s priority issues and meets the demands of the Congressional environment </li>
<li>Attends Congressional hearings, mark-ups, meetings, and events. </li>
<li>Monitors proposed legislation to determine its effects on the industry and assists in developing and implementing strategies to achieve favorable results.</li>
<li>Participates with other members of AHIP's matrixed public affairs functions to develop, implement and evaluate strategic planning for AHIP federal legislative activities.</li>
<li>Participates in the preparation of testimony, position statements, talking points, written reports, memos, and bulletins sent to AHIP members.</li>
<li>Participates in the preparation of advocacy materials sent to Congressional offices and committees, including testimony, letters, and other materials.</li>
<li>Participates in developing and responding to questions on technical issues from Congress and Congressional Committee members.</li>
<li>Engages in political activity on behalf of AHIP PAC.</li>
<li>Performs other tasks as required or assigned.</li>

Minimum Education and Experience Required

<li>Experience working with Congress, regulatory agencies, and/or state legislatures at various levels with sensitivity to political considerations. </li>
