About the Role
Focused Staffing Group is seeking passionate and skilled Intervention Specialists / SPED Teachers to join our network of partner schools. In this role, you’ll help ensure every student has the tools, support, and individualized instruction they need to succeed.
For our Intervention Specialists, we provide a dedicated Compliance Team that supports IEP writing and compliance—allowing teachers to focus their time on planning, instruction, and student growth. As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

<li>Formalize lesson plans on a weekly basis for the upcoming instructional period.</li>
<li>Relate instructional objectives to curriculum standards and demonstrate effective decision-making concerning instructional goals.</li>
<li>Determine students’ performance using both informal and formal assessments and observations.</li>
<li>Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.</li>
<li>Use a variety of instructional materials, including contextual, supplemental, teacher-constructed, and teaching bulletin boards, as well as audio-visual aids, hands-on activities, discovery-based learning, and activity-based learning.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.</li>
<li>Train and supervise a teacher assistant within the classroom.</li>
<li>Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss the child’s progress.</li>
<li>Attends Open House, Back to School Night, Teacher In-Service days, and all weekly staff meetings and weekly teacher curriculum meetings</li>

Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree required (Elementary Education preferred)
· Montessori Experience (preferred)
· NAMC (Preferred or willing to obtain within first year of employment)
· Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally.

· Ability to multitask and function in an ever-changing environment
 
Final compensation is determined based on a combination of factors, including years of experience in a similar role, relevant certifications and/or credentials, and the size and/or geographic location of the school.
