This includes creating seasonal sports schedules, coordinating coaching staff, and overseeing skill-building camps that align with Grow Public Schools' mission to foster scholar growth and well-being. Duties and Responsibilities will include:

<li>Develops and manages sports schedules for each season, coordinating with the league representative and ensuring adequate coaching support for all sports activities.</li>
<li>Plans and organizes enrichment and skills camps during afterschool and intersession times, aligned with the afterschool programs goals and schedule under the direction of the ELOP Manager.</li>
<li>Ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all scholars, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development across a range of physical activities.</li>
<li>Assists in the recruitment and onboarding of coaches for various sports seasons, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with program expectations.</li>
<li>Provides guidance and support for scholars to build both physical skills and social-emotional competencies.</li>
<li>Assists with enrichment programming for afterschool and intersession, organizing activities that align with educational and recreational goals for scholars from Transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Mentor and guide new and current afterschool staff by sharing best practices in student engagement by helping them acclimate to the expectations of their role.</li>
<li>Serve as a program resource for peers and communicate staff needs or observations to the ELOP Manager</li>
<li>Acts as site leader in the absence of the ELOP Manager and Lead Afterschool Activity Leader</li>
<li>Support behavior management across the program and assist peers in implementing the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.</li>
<li>Collaborates in the development of minimum day recreational and educational activities.</li>
<li>Facilitates minimum day recreational and educational activities for universal pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students</li>
<li>Supervises Saturday Enrichment Academy activities and trips</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Participates actively in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical education and youth development.</li>
<li>Maintains a clean, orderly, and engaging physical education environment.</li>
<li>Performs additional duties as assigned by the ELOP Manager or Administrative Team.</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma required</li>
<li>A.A. degree or equivalent preferred</li>
<li>Experience working with ELL students a plus</li>
<li>Fluency in Spanish preferred</li>
<li>Experience working with large groups of children</li>
</ul>

 Work Environment: This position is in-person, in instructional facilities located in Kern County. Some travel is required to other work sites.
