 About the Role In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for developing the content knowledge and pedagogical skills for educators at KIPP DC. You’ll leverage your content and instructional expertise to build trusting relationships with leaders and teachers to drive academic achievement for all KIPP DC students. Location and Type of Work This is an exempt position and will report to the Senior Instructional Coach. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support which requires this position to be fully on-site. This role is currently required to be on-site or in schools during regular work hours. Responsibilities
Teacher Development (60% of time)

Early Childhood Lead Teacher Job Description
 
The classroom lead teacher is one of the primary instructional leaders who influence the lives of children at Global Citizens PCS. Lead teachers will foster a student-centered learning environment that respects the culture and identity of each and every child so they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. In early childhood, our children will learn all content areas in the partner language for approximately 90% of the school day. They will learn their early literacy and math skills in English for approximately 10% of the school day. The lead language teacher will teach all content areas in the partner language and will serve as the instructional lead and model for the partner language (Mandarin Chinese or Spanish). The lead English teacher will teach literacy and math skills to all children. Compensation
 
This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of $20.00 an hour.
