POSITION SUMMARY: A skilled, licensed Master Plumber who takes pride in transforming lower levels into beautiful, functional living spaces. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise to lead plumbing installations, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure that all work complies with local and state codes. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every project is safe, efficient, and delivers the exceptional results that Basements Plus is known for. This is a hands-on role that also requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering a remodeling experience no one else can.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

<li>Plumbing Installation &amp; Maintenance
<ul>
<li>Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment in residential construction projects</li>
<li>Ensure all plumbing installations align with job plans, blueprints, and specifications</li>
<li>Conduct thorough diagnostics and develop long-term, code-compliant solutions for plumbing issues</li>
</ul>

<li>Code Compliance &amp; Safety
<ul>
<li>Ensure all work meets or exceeds Michigan Plumbing Code and all applicable safety and permitting requirements</li>
<li>Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles</li>
<li>Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in accordance with company policies</li>
</ul>

<li>Project Collaboration
<ul>
<li>Work closely with project managers, homeowners, designers, and trade partners to ensure smooth installation and integration of plumbing work into the broader remodeling process</li>
<li>Communicate clearly about timelines, material needs, and any challenges that may affect the schedule or budget</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Reporting
<ul>
<li>Accurately document work completed, materials used, and inspection results</li>
<li>Keep digital or paper records of permit and inspection statuses, installation notes, and service details</li>
</ul>

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Valid Master Plumber license in the state of Michigan</li>
<li>Extensive experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li>
<li>Strong leadership and communication skills</li>

Job Summary 
 The Senior Manager, OSP Construction will be responsible for leadership and oversight for all aspects of Outside Plant construction activities across Ziply’s territory. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li> Accountable for the staffing, budgets (capital/expense), schedules and compliance associated with OSP construction projects, along with the safety and quality of work performed. </li>
<li> Standardize construction practices/approaches across the company and across all build types/programs. </li>
<li> Size the contractor workforce for the future to support the build types/programs. </li>
<li> Align the internal and external construction teams with the Engineering Teams to drive more efficiencies, shorten project duration and reduce change requests. </li>
<li> Provide leadership and mentorship to OSP Construction Managers and Contract Administrators through coaching, feedback, development goals and performance management. </li>
<li> Oversee the development, coordination, and execution of project schedules with contractors, property management, customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, municipalities, and government agencies. </li>
<li> Oversee all phases in the bidding, negotiation, and approval of construction contracts. </li>
<li> Coordinate and participate in various internal meetings to ensure communication and alignment of initiatives, information sharing and implementation of best practices. </li>
<li> Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization. </li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li> 10+ years of OSP experience, including splicing and construction. </li>
<li> 5+ years leadership experience. </li>
<li> Experience managing budgets is required. </li>
<li> Advanced understanding of fiber splicing and installation practices, proper safety construction practices and network topology. </li>
<li> Advanced understanding of the permitting process for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners. </li>
<li> Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record. </li>
<li> Must complete a pre-employment drug screening. </li>
</ul>

<li> Intermediate knowledge/experience of engineering support systems and highly skilled in Microsoft PC applications such as Word, Excel. </li>
