Rehabilitate National Capitol Region Fountains / Water Features
The fountains managed by the National Park Service in the Washington, D.C. area, which include historic features and ornamental fountains—serve both as civic amenities and symbolic elements of the city’s public landscape. Many of these fountains are currently non-operational or deteriorating due to aging infrastructure, deferred maintenance, deteriorated masonry and waterproofing failures. 
The construction requirement is to provide all coordination, design and construction services needed to have the fountains/water features fully revitalized and functioning by May 1st, 2026 (or July 1st, 2026). The construction contractor shall perform all services in support of these goals including design, construction, 3rd party inspection and testing, and post construction documentation.
 
Period of Performance: Approximately 240 calendar days of construction management services. Exact dates of performance have yet to be determined and are dependent upon start of construction activities. The construction contract performance period is 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). It is not uncommon for construction contract extensions to be required on projects of this type due to the high risk of encountering differing site conditions, weather impacts, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparing and managing bids for single and multi-family residential projects (typically 100+ units). • Knowledge and understanding of residential electric construction practices and install according to building codes. • Take-offs and estimation of equipment, labor and materials according to builder’s specifications and bidding tools. • Experience in obtaining and evaluating material, direct labor, manufacture equipment pricing and subcontractor quotes. • Writing proposals/bids. • Managing multiple bids simultaneously and evaluating changes through the bid process. • Evaluation of plans, looking for discrepancies and addressing them with accordingly. • Participate in contract negotiations with clients that involve scope of work and estimated quantities and values. • Assist purchasing agent in procurement of equipment and all pricing is met per contracted costs. • Sense of urgency with ability to meet guidelines. Education and Experience • Experience on single and multi-family residential projects. • Ability to communicate to installers, builders, building inspectors and homeowners install methods and code. • Possess leadership qualities and the ability to be a self-starter. • Ability to multi-task. • Five years in the Electrical trade preferred • Skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents, • Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Basic computer skills with Excel competency. • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Team player • Attention to detail. • Dependable and Punctual.

We are a full-service Design-Build company. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are seeking a Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic (specializing in Carpentry Work, Metal Stud Framing, and Drywall) to join our team at Kings Bay Naval Base, GA. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in our construction efforts by performing a variety of physical and skilled carpentry tasks. Using a range of hand and power tools, you'll help build and shape quality spaces while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient worksite. What You'll Be Doing:

<li>Working with stud metal framing systems, drywall, and other materials in commercial construction</li>
<li>Assisting fellow craft workers on-site as needed</li>
<li>Cleaning and preparing job sites, digging trenches, and setting up braces for support</li>
<li>Erecting scaffolding, clearing debris, and safely disposing of non-hazardous materials</li>
<li>Operating construction equipment and supporting its upkeep and maintenance</li>
<li>Following all safety protocols in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education for this position</li>
<li>Five or more years of experience with carpentry required (can be a combination of rough, finish carpentry)</li>
<li>Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in commercial construction required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience with framing and installing steel metal frames. </li>
<li>CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred</li>
<li>Specific training or certificates in the following are preferred:

<li>Forklift/Manlift training and certificate</li>
<li>Trenching and shoring training</li>
<li>Fall protection training</li>
<li>Confined space training</li>
<li>Lockout/Tagout training</li>
<li>Scissor lift/boom lift certificate</li>

<li>OSHA 10-hour</li>
