Dowbuilt finish carpenters have highly advanced interior and exterior carpentry skills and a demonstrated ability to execute work within very tight tolerances. This position requires an aptitude for providing creative constructability solutions to a variety of design challenges and is key to executing the high-quality work that Dowbuilt is known for.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a finish carpenter, you’ll be responsible for:

<li>Reading and interpreting architectural and shop drawings</li>
<li>Managing building layout and dimensional control</li>
<li>Establishing clarity around deadlines, ensuring that any slipping deadlines are identified early, and new deadlines are communicated to the Foreman and Superintendent</li>

Job Summary
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools, conforming to necessary building codes. Perform all types of carpentry work in new construction of a (LNG) storage facility.
TYPICAL DUTIES:

<li>Receives and understands instructions and prints regarding work assignment in shop or field.</li>

<li>Plans sequence of operations and job methods.</li>
<li>Makes calculations essential in estimating material requirements and for laying out and developing curved, angular, plane, or irregular shapes.</li>
<li>Selects materials and tools most suitable for the job.</li>
<li>Set up and operate woodworking tools to cut, finish, and form material for the job.</li>
<li>Uses a variety of hand tools to form, fabricate, finish, erect, dismantle, repair and refinish structures and refinery office equipment.</li>
<li>Performs a wide variety of carpentry work such as interior finishing, repair, and construction of office furniture, storage cabinet, doors, partitions, windows, building, tanks, benches, shoring, and scaffolds.</li>
<li>Builds forms and installs reinforcing rods and anchor bolts for concrete foundations.</li>
<li>Locates and installs prefabricated wood and metal parts.</li>
<li>Install or replace glass.</li>
<li>Dismantles, erects and repairs various types of roofing.</li>
<li>Erects various type scaffolds including pipe and safety barriers and make provisions for handling materials needed for the job.</li>
<li>Keeps immediate working area clean.</li>
<li>Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.</li>
<li>Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.</li>
</ul>
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.</li>
<li>A general knowledge of basic hand tools.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass the Carpenter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.</li>
<li>Must be able to complete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain active status within the DISA drug testing program.</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.</li>
<li>Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Ability to work in Confined Spaces.</li>
<li>Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.</li>
