Fisher Associates is seeking a Construction Inspector / Resident Engineer (NICET III/IV) to support a bridge replacement project in the Town of Sheldon. This role will oversee construction activities for a project anticipated to span approximately six months and be completed within a single construction season.

What you will do:
<ul>
<li>Perform on-site inspections to confirm construction activities match approved plans and codes</li>
<li>Identify and report any deviations from approved plans and specifications</li>
<li>Ensure work complies with local, state, and federal requirements</li>
<li>Keep clear inspection records, including photos and notes</li>
<li>Prepare inspection reports and document needed corrections</li>
<li>Work with project teams including contractors, project managers, and engineers to discuss inspection results and address any issues</li>
<li>Attend meetings and provide inspection updates</li>
<li>Provide recommendations to bring non-compliant work up to standard</li>
<li>Monitor material quality and workmanship</li>
<li>Oversee job sites for safety compliance</li>
<li>Report and address any safety hazards or violations promptly</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

Requirements:
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>NICET Level III or IV certification (or NYSDOT equivalent experience)</li>
<li>OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (required)</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience, with bridge or highway structures experience preferred</li>
