SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Community Partnerships, the Museum Director provides leadership and directs policymaking, planning, organization, staffing, and operations. Montclair State University recently made an exciting announcement that it will receive a $5 million transformational gift that it will use to become an educational partner in the creation and operation of a museum and learning center at historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. The museum is scheduled to open in fall 2023. The Director serves as the spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum and works closely with the Advisory Board to refine, develop, and implement a progressive program for the Museum’s fundraising, exhibitions, collections management, educational activities, and community outreach. &nbsp;
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in conjunction with the Board to develop the strategic direction and establish initiatives to fulfill the mission of the Museum and increase local, statewide and national awareness and prominence.

Directs the Museum's operations, to include development, education and public programming, finance, external communications, staffing, and community engagement.

Supervises the Education Director, part-time staff, volunteers, and works closely with Montclair State staff and educators.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:&nbsp;

The University of Medicine and Health Sciences is a state-of-the-art medical school located on the exotic Caribbean Island of St. Kitts.&nbsp; Faculty have a unique opportunity to become involved in the growth and success of the institution, and most importantly an opportunity to educate and nurture a new generation of physicians.
Gross Anatomy is taught in the first semester and is focused on team-teaching and, as such, faculty have adequate time to engage in research and/or writing. The UMHS academic year has three semesters; therefore, teaching responsibilities occur throughout the year.&nbsp; UMHS has a state-of-the-art anatomy dissection laboratory which allows a 6/1 student to&nbsp;cadaver.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Delivering effective lectures utilizing a variety of teaching techniques and state of the art &nbsp; teaching technologies. 4. Course description:&nbsp;Gross and Developmental Anatomy focuses on the gross structure of organs and their function, and through clinical correlations, relates each to clinical medicine.&nbsp; An Anatomical Learning Resource Center has been established to utilize computer-based instruction, anatomical models, radiographic materials as well as supervised laboratory sessions dissecting various parts of the human body.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Students study the structure and function of all organs with some interaction with cellular structure.&nbsp; This course incorporates an understanding of how embryological processes give rise to the mature body form.&nbsp; When this course is complete, each student will have extensive knowledge of the gross anatomy and development of the entire human body as it relates clinically to the practice of medicine.

About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. Description
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago invites applications for a Research Professor (open rank) in Renaissance Italian Literature and Visual Culture to begin on October 15, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The department seeks a scholar in Italian literature and Italian Renaissance art history who will further their own research in collaboration with faculty in the department and elsewhere in the Division of Humanities. The selected candidate will 1) conduct research in their stated field of concentration under the mentorship of a faculty member, 2) participate in regular colloquia and workshops in the department, advise and mentor students in consultation with the department and 3) be in residence at the University of Chicago during the three quarters of the academic year. Depending on qualifications and departmental need, the selected candidate may be able to teach up to two courses per year.
The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, or Research Professor depending on previous experience and record of scholarly achievement. The initial appointment will be for a minimum term of three years, with longer terms possible depending on the rank of the selected candidate. Reappointment and promotion are possible upon successful review.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in a field related to Italian Renaissance literature or art history, have an active scholarly agenda leading to a record of published work which makes important contributions to the applicant’s field, or have the potential to do so. Applicants must also demonstrate the potential for increasingly distinguished scholarly achievement.

Advising includes decision-making in coursework for general education (baccalaureate core) and major/minor specific coursework, as well as career advising and professional development.</li>
<li>Advise new students during first-year and transfer student orientations.</li>
<li>Assist biology and zoology students with general requests such as change of major forms, petitions, referral to appropriate services, etc.</li>
<li>Participate in proactive advising interventions. Including potentially 1:1 reach-out to students in response to reports each term.</li>
<li>Assist students in navigating academic standing, including seeking reinstatement after suspension from the University.</li>

Academic Advisor

The Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES) at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for up to two <a href="https://crres.indiana.edu/programs/postdoctoral-fellowships/index.html" target="_blank">CRRES Postdoctoral Fellowships</a>. These fellowships provide support to scholars studying race and ethnicity from a broad range of fields in the social sciences and humanities, including education, criminal justice, environmental studies, international studies (e.g., climate, human rights, and development), gender/sexualities, public health, and media (e.g., consumer culture, game design, film, social media activism, and sports media). We are particularly interested in candidates whose research intersects with African American and African Diaspora Studies, Native and Indigenous Studies, Latino Studies, Asian American Studies, African Studies, Latin American Studies, and/or Global Indigenous Studies. Fellows will be placed in one of IU’s <a href="https://www.indiana.edu/academics/schools.html" target="_blank">sixteen degree granting schools</a>, and are expected to pursue research activities associated with their primary area of work, as demonstrated by conference presentations and published works. CRRES fellowships are designed to advance the careers of new scholars by providing opportunities to research, teach, and connect with mentors and with faculty in host departments. Terms of Agreement Fellows are expected to pursue research, teach one course during each year of residency, and participate in CRRES as well as host department activities and seminars. This two-year position begins on August 1, 2024 and ends on May 31, 2026, at a 10-month annual salary of $51,500. Postdoctoral fellows will also receive Indiana University health benefits and $3,000 each year in research support.
