Senior Software Engineer – Fulfillment Platforms

At Cabi, technology is at the heart of delivering an exceptional experience for our Stylists and clients. Every customer order flows through our fulfillment platform, connecting Shopify, warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and enterprise systems into a seamless experience.

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve this platform. You'll design, build, deploy, and support software that directly impacts thousands of customer orders while helping modernize one of the company's most critical business systems.

This role is based in Indiana to provide close partnership with our warehouse operations and local technology environment.

What You'll Do

As the primary engineer responsible for our fulfillment platform, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain Cabi's custom Fulfillment Service and related applications.
• Provide mission-critical technology support to Receiving, Inventory, Put-away, Pick, Pack and Ship operations
• Develop APIs, services, and integrations supporting inventory allocation, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns.
• Build and maintain integrations between Shopify, Oracle EBS, warehouse systems, shipping carriers, and other enterprise platforms.
• Own software throughout its lifecycle—from solution design and development through deployment, monitoring, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement scalable long-term solutions.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and automation while reducing technical debt.
• Partner with Product Management and Warehouse Operations to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure when software, AWS, networking, and warehouse technology intersect.
• Participate in Agile planning, estimation, code reviews, testing, and production releases.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Support additional application development and platform initiatives across the Technology organization as business priorities require, while maintaining primary ownership of the fulfillment platform.

What You'll Bring

Required

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building enterprise applications and backend services.
• Strong API development experience in distributed applications environment using REST and GraphQL based webservices
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Experience developing applications in AWS.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Shopify development or Shopify integrations.
• Retail, ecommerce, fulfillment, warehouse, or supply chain experience.
• Oracle EBS or ERP integrations.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Order Management Systems (OMS).
• Docker, Kubernetes, or container technologies.
• Event-driven or distributed system architectures.

• Help modernize the fulfillment platform while reducing operational risk and technical debt.
• Contribute to strategic technology initiatives beyond fulfillment as business priorities evolve.
