We're seeking experienced Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technician(s) to support government project managers and engineers on a variety of construction and maintenance projects.

If you're passionate about supporting the US Military with studies, investigations, tests, evaluations, consultations, comprehensive planning, program management, conceptual designs, draft plans and specifications, value engineering, soils engineering, drawing drafting and reviews, and other related facilities engineering services, then we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do - Overview

  • Support government staff with tasks related to the management of construction and maintenance projects and shall include, but are not limited to, studies, investigations, tests, evaluations, consultations, comprehensive planning, program management, conceptual designs, draft plans and specifications, value engineering, soils engineering, drawing, drafting and reviews, and other related facilities engineering services.
  • Provide technical assistance by performing tasks such as:
  • Gathering site information and provides field data.
  • Assisting government engineers by drafting initial concept sketches and basic drawings for review.
  • Preparing draft cost estimates and material lists.
  • Reviewing technical submittals from construction contractors for completeness and providing recommendations to the government's project manager.
  • Conducting routine site visits to observe and report on work progress.
  • Provide necessary support to the government licensed engineer with technical approaches, designs, plans, and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections (outdoors) to validate field conditions, take measurements, and observe details not readily available.
  • Collect and review raw field data; perform in depth technical studies using facilities engineering principles.

You'll Know You're a Good Fit for This Position if You Meet the Minimum Requirements

  • An associate degree in an engineering-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in (civil, electrical, low voltage, mechanical, and structural).
  • Experience with DoD and USACE projects preferred, but not required.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office.
  • Possess, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a government background check to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly, at a level commensurate to an office doing business at a professional level.
  • The skills to support engineers by gathering information, preparing draft documents and monitoring project sites.
  • Familiar with RS Means and CAD.
