Our organization is in search of a driven, customer-focused Physical Security/Industrial Security Specialist to become part of our team in El Segundo, CA.
This role involves providing support in physical security (PS), industrial security, and cybersecurity for collateral, SCI, and SAP systems, adhering to ICD, DODM, legacy DCID/JAFAN, and other DoD and national directives for facilities with internal networks and guest systems. Additionally, you will offer industrial security assistance to SAR acquisition programs in a full-time, in-office capacity, five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Government security officials in overseeing the industrial security requirements of acquisition security programs.
- Ensure adherence to DODM, ICD, or legacy DCID/JAFAN physical security and Information Assurance (IA) standards while maintaining accreditation documentation.
- Collaborate with higher headquarters on physical and technical security (TEMPEST/TSCM) actions and protocols.
- Conduct reviews prior to construction and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with guidelines for facility construction, expansion, and modifications.
- Assist Information Assurance Managers in implementing cybersecurity protocols.
- Draft, review, and maintain documentation for facility Certification and Accreditation.
- Support the enforcement of personnel security measures for visitors and un-cleared individuals needing access to the facility.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree; alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- A total of 6 years of experience, including at least 4 years in an SCI or SAR environment.
- Capability to complete ICD-705 training (DSSA or NRO) within 6 months of hire.
- At least 2 years of experience relevant to SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of security policies/manuals and relevant ICDs, JAFANs, DOD Manuals, and other guiding documents.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively engage with DoD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR), utilizing both air and ground transportation.
- The individual in this role may spend a portion of their time in a stationary position, utilizing adjustable chairs and desks in closed-office environments.
- Must be able to occasionally move around inside and outside the office to access files, cabinets, and safes.
