Schedule: Closing shifts; weekend availability is mandatory
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Budtender to join our team at a licensed cannabis dispensary in Downtown Portland. In this role, you will assist customers by providing product recommendations, answering questions, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all OLCC regulations.
This position requires availability for closing shifts, and working weekends is mandatory. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, pre-rolls, and accessories.
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
- Process sales accurately using the dispensary's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all OLCC regulations.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and daily transaction records.
- Stock, organize, and maintain product displays and sales floor inventory.
- Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and presentable.
- Stay informed on current products, promotions, and cannabis industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Assist with end-of-day duties and closing procedures.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail, customer service, or cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Basic computer and POS system experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be available to work closing shifts.
- Weekend availability is mandatory.
- Must be willing to work holidays as scheduled.
