Job Description

Restaurants are unpredictable. Every day brings a new challenge.

If you enjoy solving problems, thinking on your feet, leading from the floor and making decisions in real time, keep reading. If you're looking for a management position where you mostly supervise others, this probably isn't the right fit.

If you thrive in organized chaos, you'll probably love this job. If constant change stresses you out, you probably won't.

About Diego's

Diego's Cantina is an elevated Mexican restaurant focused on genuine hospitality, scratch cooking and memorable guest experiences. We believe leadership happens on the floor, not from an office.

What This Job Really Looks Like

Every shift is different. You might spend one hour coaching a server, the next putting away a delivery, jumping behind the bar because someone called off, fixing a POS issue, helping the kitchen through a rush or packaging a to-go order.

That's restaurant life, and it's exactly what makes this job rewarding.

You're Probably a Great Fit If You...

· Notice problems before someone points them out

· Prefer finding solutions instead of excuses

· Stay calm under pressure

· Enjoy making a restaurant better every shift

· Believe no job is beneath you

· Can make good decisions without waiting for permission

You Won't Enjoy This Job If You...

· Want a management position where you mostly supervise others

· Prefer staying in an office

· Avoid difficult conversations

· Wait to be told what to do

· Believe 'that's not my job'

· Don't want to work weekends

Leadership Philosophy

This is a leadership role with your sleeves rolled up.

We lead by doing. Whether that means running food, bussing tables, bartending, coaching an employee, or greeting guests at the door, you'll do whatever the restaurant needs to succeed. Leadership at Diego's is earned on the floor, not from behind a desk.

We don't expect perfection. We expect ownership. You won't always have the perfect answer, but we do expect you to make thoughtful decisions, adapt quickly and keep the restaurant moving.
