The Diesel Mechanic will independently service and maintain heavy-duty trucks and school buses while collaborating with a small maintenance team. This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel systems, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose diesel equipment issues on heavy-duty trucks and school buses.
- Perform engine repairs and transmission service.
- Complete preventive maintenance to support vehicle reliability.
- Service and repair brake systems.
- Inspect and repair hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Document completed repairs and maintenance activities.
