You will start in an entry-level general labor role focused on cleaning and moving tires, with the opportunity to progress into machine operation, painting, and other production responsibilities as you gain experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clean the treads of truck and trailer tires before they are buffed, ensuring they are free of debris and ready for the next stage in the process.
  • Roll tires to the side and use a flat screwdriver or similar hand tool to remove rocks and other materials from the treads.
  • Safely roll and position tires onto machines for the operator, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Use hand tools, air tools, grinders, drills, stitchers, rollers, and probes as needed to support the tire preparation and production process.
  • Perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced production environment, including lifting, moving, and positioning heavy tires and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency in the production department.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures, including proper use of tools and equipment, to minimize risk of injury.

  • At least 6 months of experience using hand tools and power tools such as air tools, grinders, drills, stitchers, rollers, and probes.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for long periods, bending, twisting, stooping, and heavy lifting.
  • Comfort working with general labor tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to safely handle and operate basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality to support production schedules.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and standard operating processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with using tools such as grinders, drills, stitchers, rollers, and other basic production tools.
  • Willingness to learn machine operation, painting, and other specialized roles within the production process.
  • Strong attention to detail when cleaning treads and preparing tires for buffing.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a high-activity environment.

Why Work Here?

You will join a close-knit team in a long-established, stable company where safety, teamwork, and growth are priorities. The organization offers a consistent schedule with opportunities for overtime, hands-on work, and clear pathways to learn new skills such as machine operation and painting. You will work closely with a small group of colleagues, giving you the chance to build strong working relationships and contribute directly to the success of the operation.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing and production environment that is very fast paced and labor intensive. The facility focuses heavily on safety, and you will use various hand tools and power tools as part of your daily work. The workspace has a noticeable tire smell, consistent with a tire production setting. You will work in a department of about 7–8 employees within a company of approximately 28 people, fostering a small-team atmosphere. The standard hours are from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with overtime available on Saturdays as needed.
