The Mart Collective is hiring a full-time Store Manager who will be a primary keyholder and will report directly to as well as work alongside the owners. The manager will oversee daily operations as well as work alongside staff to help customers. They must be able to handle the store at times and make decisions for the store’s best interest when the owners are not present.
Requirements
Minimum 2 year Associates Business degree
5+ years’ experience in assistant manager and/or store manager role(s). Preferably busy retail, coffee chains, full service restaurants and any other retail/food establishment.
Excellent computer skills/working knowledge of various POS systems
Working knowledge of social media business posts
The store manager will assist the owners in managing a 16,000 sq ft multi-dealer antique mall located on Lincoln Blvd. in Venice, CA. It’s very much a ‘Mom and Pop” operation. The store has 90+ dealers that bring mostly vintage and antique goods for sale in spaces that they rent from The Mart. Our customer base is made up of local residents, antique collectors, interior designers, set decorators, prop stylists, tourists and others.
Some Duties include:
• Daily balancing/deposits of prior day sales activities
• Reports and filing
• Getting the front counter ready for the day
• Reviewing item pickups/deliveries
• Ensuring morning tasks/cleaning are completed as time allows
• Managing operations of the front counter as well as activities on the floor.
• Help customers with general questions/delivery quotes
• Manage employee breaks
• Employee training/coaching as needed
• Communicating and working with dealers as needed
• Security
• Building management
• Social media projects
• End of day duties
Other duties and responsibilities will be added over time.
