Job DescriptionOur client, a (Fortune 500 - an Ecommerce company), is looking to hire a Technical Support Tech II in Seattle WA (onsite)
Pay Rate Range: $25 to $32/hr on w2, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities Assembly Operations
• Assemble manufactured components into finished products following engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures
• Perform mechanical assembly including fastening, bonding, fitting, and alignment of parts
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively
• Install hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, and other fasteners
• Apply adhesives, sealants, and thread-locking compounds as specified • Perform sub-assembly and final assembly operations
Quality and Inspection
• Verify part fit and alignment during assembly process
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and report defects or quality issues to manufacturing managers and quality engineers
• Conduct functional tests on assembled products as required
• Maintain accurate assembly records and documentation
• Follow first article inspection procedures for new assemblies
Material Handling and Organization
• Retrieve components and materials from inventory for assembly operations
• Maintain organized work area and enforce 5S standards
• Handle manufactured components carefully to prevent damage
• Return unused materials and components to proper storage locations
• Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed
Safety and Compliance
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Report safety hazards or concerns immediately
• Support ISO 9001 compliance through proper documentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams on component readiness and assembly priorities
• Communicate with quality engineers on assembly issues or improvements
• Support shipping team with packaging and preparation of assembled products
• Provide feedback to Application Engineers on design for assembly improvements
Requirements:
- • High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical training
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Basic computer skills for documentation • 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly
• Experience with precision assembly and tight tolerance work
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience with torque wrenches and precision measurement tools
• Knowledge of adhesive bonding and fastening techniques
• Experience in contract manufacturing or high-mix production environments
• Forklift certification Success Profile
