Job DescriptionAbout the Role
This is a core engineering role on the marketplace team at a Series B HR-tech platform that connects companies with recruiters and candidates. You'll work closely with the marketplace product lead to build the systems and experiences that power both sides of a two-sided hiring marketplace — directly influencing recruiter activation, hiring manager experience, and real hiring outcomes.
What You'll Do

Build features that shape how recruiters and hiring managers engage with the platform, informed by user psychology and behavior data.

Develop systems that onboard new recruiters, ramp them up quickly, and maintain quality standards across the supply side.

Own payments, incentive structures, and performance tooling that help recruiters do their best work.

Build role-distribution logic to balance recruiter activity and ensure every open role gets appropriate attention.

Identify and automate manual workflows that slow down recruiters, hiring managers, and internal operations.
What We're Looking For

1–6 years of full-stack software engineering experience shipping production-quality code in fast-paced environments.

B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field; strong CS fundamentals from a well-regarded program are a plus.

Proficiency with TypeScript and React; comfort working across the stack with a backend lean (up to ~70/30 split).

3+ years of experience building products at a marketplace company (e.g., a ride-share, delivery, or lodging platform).

Demonstrated ability to ship and iterate quickly in production, with clear measurement of user and business impact.

Track record of executing well-scoped projects independently with clear direction.

Experience in venture-backed early-stage startup environments is a plus.

Prior exposure to recruiting or hiring technology is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $160,000 – $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
