Job DescriptionIT Deployment Team Member / Desktop Deployment TechnicianPosition Overview

We are seeking hands-on IT Deployment Team Members / Desktop Deployment Technicians to support computer and laptop deployment activities across multiple locations. The role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting computers, peripherals, software, and technology assets.

This is a 100% onsite, field-based position requiring strong customer service, basic IT troubleshooting skills, physical ability to move equipment, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, install, and configure desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
Prepare workstations and equipment for end users.
Install and configure required software and applications.
Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues.
Provide basic technical assistance to end users during deployment.
Verify that equipment is properly configured and functioning.
Maintain accurate asset, inventory, and deployment records.
Track equipment assignments and deployment status.
Coordinate deployment activities with IT teams and end users.
Transport equipment between locations as required.
Maintain organized equipment and work areas.
Follow established IT deployment procedures and safety requirements.
Travel to multiple locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Ability and willingness to travel to multiple locations.
Ability to work 100% onsite, MondayFriday.
Basic knowledge of computers, laptops, Windows workstations, and peripherals.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain accurate equipment and deployment records.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous desktop or IT deployment experience.
Experience installing and configuring computers/laptops.
Desktop support or help desk experience.
Hardware installation or break/fix experience.
Experience imaging or preparing computers for end users.
Windows workstation support experience.
Asset management or inventory tracking experience.
Experience with large-scale PC/laptop refresh or deployment projects.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, and work around desks/workstations.
Ability to perform repetitive workstation setup and equipment installation.

Travel

Travel will be required to various locations, including:

Nashville
Knoxville
Chattanooga
Jackson

Travel expenses may be reimbursed according to applicable guidelines.
