Tree Manager
Role Overview
Kelaca is looking for a Tree Manager for their Client Partner located in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a field-based leadership role designed to strengthen day-to-day tree operations and provide visible support to crews, clients, and operations leadership. The position blends production oversight, account support, client coordination, and practical arboriculture judgement in a role that is hands-on, safety-led, and closely connected to what is happening on site each day.
In this role, you will lead tree crews delivering pruning, removal, and maintenance work, assess sites before and after jobs, keep schedules moving, and help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The role also supports service quality and growth by identifying additional work opportunities within existing accounts and communicating client needs clearly. It suits someone who is organized, calm under pressure, confident with crews and customers, and comfortable balancing technical tree knowledge with day-to-day execution.
Key responsibilities

Lead and supervise tree crews to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality tree care work.

Conduct pre- and post-job site assessments and clarify work requirements before crews begin.

Plan daily schedules and coordinate field activity to keep work orders on track.

Enforce safety protocols for tree climbing, rigging, and equipment use.

Inspect equipment and tools to maintain readiness, reliability, and safe operation.

Communicate with operations leadership and clients to resolve questions, confirm specifications, and maintain service quality.

Complete accurate daily production reporting and support onboarding and coaching of team members.

Identify additional service opportunities and communicate them appropriately.

Knowledge & skills

Strong working knowledge of tree pruning and removal in an operational field environment.

Sound understanding of tree climbing and rigging practices, with the judgement to supervise work safely even if not performing the climbing directly.

Ability to assess tree health and apply knowledge of tree species, diseases, and proper pruning techniques.

Familiarity with ANSI A300 standards and the discipline to apply recognised arboriculture standards in day-to-day work.

Experience with tree care equipment inspection and maintenance, including daily checks for operational readiness.

Confidence using Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to complete production reporting accurately.

Ability to communicate effectively with crews, clients, and operations leaders; bilingual Spanish capability would be valuable in this environment.

Demonstrated crew leadership, structured communication, ownership, client-facing judgement, and the ability to stay composed in a safety-critical, weather-exposed setting.
Operating environment
This is a full-time role with a practical, outdoor operating rhythm. The role is anchored around West Palm Beach, FL, with regular site travel and a routine of checking in with crews before heading to job locations. The work combines field leadership, client interaction, and coordination with operations leadership in an environment where safety, responsiveness, and professional judgement matter every day.
