The Adjunct Instructor will teach classes in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography AAS program, preparing them for ARRT and RDMS certifications. We encourage sonographers with extensive experience to consider teaching as a career option. Our experienced program director will train you on how to teach program core courses, which prepare students for entry-level positions.
Essential Job Duties:
• Deliver approved curriculum developed by MCC through lecture and lab environment.
• Evaluate and document student progress through testing, observations, and assessment of skills.
• Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skill development, and good patient care concepts.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in allied health sciences or equivalent.
• DMS certifications.
• Knowledge, skills, & abilities.
The instructor should have the following knowledge and practical skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.
• Computer-based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.
• Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse college constituents.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• DMS Certification (Required)
Experience:
• 1 year of teaching (Required)
