A Milwaukee-based holding company with operations across construction, real estate, and manufacturing is seeking a General Manager – Facilities & Maintenance Services to oversee the day-to-day operations of its growing facilities and maintenance business.
\n
\n
This is a hands-on role focused on managing field operations, customers, vendors, projects, and profitability. The ideal candidate comes from a facilities, construction, maintenance, skilled trades, general contracting, or building-services background and is comfortable taking ownership and solving problems from start to finish.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily facilities and maintenance operations
- Manage field employees, contractors, and vendors
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping services
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and job costing
- Manage projects from start to finish
- Monitor quality, costs, timelines, and profitability
- Improve processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications
\n

- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Facilities, construction, maintenance, trades, or general contracting background
- Experience managing employees, contractors, or vendors
- Project management and estimating/job costing experience
- Strong computer and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary & Schedule

- Salary: $80,000–$120,000, with a significant year-end bonus opportunity
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: Milwaukee, WI 53233
- Work Setting: 100% onsite
- Interview Process: Onsite interviews, including a typing assessment
